The first major project of the summer is wrapped up!
Marlee finished the cataloging project for the choral library yesterday, and yes, that’s 1,468 titles! There’s still some editing left to do on the index, but the major data-entry work is done. Whew!
Thanks to everyone who helped out–Carrie, Jessica, Taylor, Kat, Andrew, etc., but especially Marlee who put in a lot of hours this summer to knock this project out.

Next up–the Costume Closet!
I’ve finished the cast plot for Oklahoma! and have published it here. You’ll notice the scenes are divided into French scenes (a French scene is a dialogue division framed by the entrance or the exit of a major character–watch for this to pop up on a vocabulary test!). The format I’m using to designate French scenes is
[act] . [scene] . [french scene]
so that when you see 2.2.3 you know I’m referring to “Act II, Scene 2, French Scene 3.”
Just be aware that we’ll likely have to collapse some of the men’s characters in order to pull it off i.e., instead of Ike, Slim, Fred, Joe, and Skidmore it’ll probably go Ike/Joe, Fred/Slim, etc., with the appropriate lines distributed.

I have 6 copies of the Oklahoma! libretto/vocal score available for students to check out during the summer. Please don’t keep them for more than three days at a time so everyone gets a chance at them. You can check the status of each copy by checking this page, but make sure you check my office hours and give me a call before showing up for a copy!
Here are my office hours for the rest of the summer. You may come by for an OK reading script during my office hours, but you may want to call first to make sure I have any on hand. 594-4493. If you just want to come by and work, just let me know you’re coming by either calling or emailing me.
